Sherwood Hills Baptist Church hosted our annual Missions Conference on July 1-5, 2015. As with each year, we carry a theme and emphasis for our Missions Conference. This year’s emphasis was on “Sowing the Seed” taken from Psalm 126:6.
“He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed,
shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”
We looked at sowing seeds and reaching people at home and afar. We looked at what it means to be ‘Home Grown’, highlighting the need to be cultivating and training people at home to be ready for the work the Lord has commissioned His church to do.
Our special guests included Edward Brown (South Pacific Ministry Training Service, SHBC), Michael Leslie (Trinity Baptist Church), Frank Tottingham (Valley Baptist Church), Bob Buster (Eua Bible Baptist Church) and Matthew van Dijk (Sherwood Hills Baptist Church) as special guest speakers. Most of whom were trained in their home church and continue to sow precious seeds here in Australia and around the world.
